Roald Dahl has provided a wealth of tasty material for film, TV and theatre over the years, and we’re delighted to announce that the 1970 novella ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ will become a Lincoln School of Creative Arts and Lincoln Performing Arts Centre co-production.
Kicking off 2023, this adaptation by Sally Reid, with original music by Final Year BA Music students will play at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre from the 26th -28th January 2023, featuring a host of local talent from the Lincoln School of Creative Arts.
Director of ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ and Head of School of Creative Arts, Andrew Westerside said: “The collaborative winter production between the School and LPAC is always one of the highlights of our year. We’re really excited to explore Dahl’s characters and world and share them with you all – just watch out for Boggis, Bunce and Bean!”
Tara Hill, who plays Mrs Fox, said: “Mr. Fox is turning out to just be so fantastic and so is this whole experience!”, while musician Marcus Bagley-Hodkin said: “Seeing the different disciplines come together to create something new is extremely exciting, and has inspired me to be more inventive with my work”.
Creative and Executive Director Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, Ben Anderson said: “At LPAC, we are constantly seeking new ways to work with the next generation of artists and I’m excited to see this come to fruition in this new production.”
