Whittling for Wellbeing – Boultham Park

Whittling, or wood carving, is fun and creative. It’s a great way to introduce anyone to safe knife skills. And with the right know-how and supervision, there’s no need for it to be risky.
There is a charge of £3.70 per person for this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children. This activity is aimed at children aged 8 to 13 years.

Natural Dye workshop – Hartsholme Country Park

How awesome are plants? They’re satisfying to grow, super delicious to eat, and great to make natural dyes out of, so why not give it a try! Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring whatever you have at home if you would like to use it. There is a charge of £3.70 per child for this event and booking is essential. Bottle Rockets – Hartsholme Country Park
Thursday 13th April 1.00pm to 2.30pm
Join the Park Rangers and discover the joys of flight by making your very own bottle rocket. This activity has lot’s going on, a satisfying ‘whoosh’, a high-speed departure, and a good soaking if you are standing close! There is a charge of £3.70 per child for this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years. This is a Children’s University validated activity.

Toddler Time – Hartsholme Country Park
Friday 21st April 10.00am to 11.00am
Join Park Rangers and dress to get messy for seasonal activities for the under 5’s!! £3.70 per child for this event. An adult must accompany all children. This activity is aimed at children aged 1 to 5 years

Repair café – Hartsholme Country Park
Sunday 23rd April 10.00am to 12.00pm
Join the Repair café to get your broken stuff fixed! They will try to repair your electricals, clothing, textiles, toys, jewellery, and small furniture. So, if you’ve got any of these items gathering dust and want to give them a new lease of life now’s the time.
Come along to the visitor’s centre anytime between 10.00am and 12.00pm with your belongings!

Discover the Herons of Hartsholme Country Park – Hartsholme Country Park
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April 11.00am to 4.00pm
Join the Lincolnshire Local Group of the RSPB, by taking part in the annual Heron Watch to discover and learn more about these giants of the bird world. This event is free of charge. Suitable for all age groups.

Discover the History of Hartsholme County Park – Hartsholme Country Park
Sunday 30th April 11.00am to 1.00pm
Join Park Rangers for a guided walk to discover the History of Hartsholme Country Park. This walk will take you back through time to when Hartsholme was a thriving estate to the present-day country park. The walk is 3 miles long and will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. There is no charge this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children.
