Bird Watching For All – Hartsholme Country Park

Sunday 8th October 10.30am to 12.30pm

Join local RSPB members for a guided walk around Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve to discover the many species of birds which reside here throughout the year. The walk will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. This event is free of charge and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for all age groups.

Toddler Time – Hartsholme Country Park

Friday 20th October 10.00am to 11.00am

Join Park Rangers and dress to get messy for seasonal activities for the under 5’s!! £3.70 per child for this event. An adult must accompany all children. This activity is aimed at children aged 1 to 5 years.

Halloween Trail – Hartsholme Country Park

Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th October 12pm to 3pm

Only for the brave, prepare to be scared out of your skin on our creepy Halloween Trail, which will lead you, if you make it, to a delicious and ghoulish treat! There is a charge of £3.70 per child for this event. An adult must accompany all children. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years.

Pumpkin Carving

Join Park Rangers to design and carve your very own Jack o’ lantern to ward off the evil spirits. There is a charge of £3.70 per child for this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children.

Bat Box Making – Hartsholme Country Park

Thursday 26th October 1pm to 2.30pm

Let’s celebrate Bat Week! If you think there are bats in your area, then why not do your bit for conservation and invite them to stay in your garden by making a Bat Box? There is a charge of £7.20 per child for this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children.

Discover the History of Hartsholme County Park – Hartsholme Country Park

Sunday 29th October 11.00am to 1.00pm

Join Park Rangers for a guided walk to discover the History of Hartsholme Country Park. This walk will take you back through time to when Hartsholme was a thriving estate to the present-day country park. The walk is three miles long and will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. There is no charge at this event and booking is essential. An adult must accompany all children.
