Jazz Takes Centre Stage In Lincoln’s Spectacular Cathedral

This July, Lincoln’s historic landmark will play host to a weekend festival of Jazz and Gospel music featuring leading musicians from the UK and overseas which continues a musical tradition from Gregorian Chant and polyphonic music in Medieval times.

The weekend begins on Friday 15th with the acclaimed London Community Gospel Choir and closes with the Darius Brubeck Quartet on Sunday 17th. Brought to the City by Lincoln Jazz in partnership with Lincoln Cathedral, with support from local businesses and East Midlands Jazz, all the events will take place in and around the Cathedral making full use of the new Visitor Centre facilities set in the popular Cathedral Quarter including the Castle, the famous Steep Hill, Bailgate shopping together with the many cafes, restaurants, hotels and pubs.
