Scothern Players Proudly Present a Heart-Warming True Story – Calendar Girls

You may remember the original calendar, you may have read the news items, seen the film or more recently enjoyed the musical. Now is your chance to experience the stage show. In a version, fully revised in 2021 by playwright Tim Firth, Scothern Players presents Calendar Girls.

Join Chris, Annie and the ladies of the Knapeley WI as they plan to raise money for a comfy sofa for their local hospital. Their idea is to produce a WI calendar totally unlike any other. This heart-warming, tender, touching and extremely funny play follows the group through their adventures and relationships, revealing a little more of themselves than they ever thought they would!

Directed by Lisa Langston, by kind permission of Samuel French, Calendar Girls can be seen at Scothern Village Hall on 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th May. Doors at 7pm with curtains up 7:30pm. Tickets £10 available online from www.scothernplayers.org.uk or by calling 07900 465352. There will be a licensed bar and raffle, with 25% of profits to be donated to cancer charities.
