Make the most of Lincoln’s green spaces this July!

Bird Watching For All – Hartsholme Country Park

Sunday 3rd July 10.30am to 12.30pm

Join local RSPB members for a guided walk around Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve to discover the many species of birds which reside here throughout the year. The walk will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. This event is free of charge and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for all age groups.

Toddler Time – Hartsholme Country Park

Friday 15th July 10.00am to 11.00am

Join Park Rangers and dress to get messy for seasonal activities for the under 5’s!! There is a charge of £3.50 per child for this event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is aimed at children aged 1 to 5 years

Bottle Rockets – Boultham Park

Wednesday 27th July 1.00pm to 2.30pm

Join the Park Rangers and discover the joys of flight by making your very own bottle rocket. This activity has lots going on, a satisfying ‘whoosh’, a high-speed departure and a good soaking if you are standing close! There is a charge of £3.50 per child for this event and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years. This is a Children’s University validated activity.

Bug Box Hotels – Lincoln Arboretum

Thursday 28th July 10.00am to 11.30am

Let’s celebrate World Nature Conservation Day by making a home for your bugs and creating your very own conservation project to take away with you! There is a charge of £3.50 per child for this event and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years. This is a Children’s University validated activity

Butterfly Bonanza – Hartsholme Country Park

Thursday 28th July 1pm to 2.30pm

Join Park Rangers for a short walk to discover the colourful world of butterflies. Find out about some of our fluttering friends which thrive here in summer and take part in the Big Butterfly Count 2022 as well as lots of fun butterfly activities. There is a charge of £3.50 per child for this event and booking is essential. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years. This is a Children’s University validated activity.
