Red Nose Day Is Back!

On Friday 18th March 2022 we welcome the return of Red Nose Day with the introduction of eight new red nose characters to track down, and just like last year all the noses and packaging are 100% plastic-free.

David Tennant, Paddy McGuinness, Sir Lenny Henry and Zoe Ball will be hosting the big Red Nose Day night of TV which will be live on BBC One, full to the brim with comedy, special appearances and sketches.

Red Nose Day donations help tackle important issues including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse and mental health stigma, all of which have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Comic Relief support amazing organisations across the UK and around the world. Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a much-anticipated date in the calendar. It’s the day when people across the land join forces to raise money for brilliant causes in the UK and around the world.

Since January 2021, Comic Relief funding has helped to support more than 10.6 million people across the UK and around the world, including…

  • More than 17,000 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to access safe accommodation and specialist support
  • More than 750,000 people in the UK experiencing financial and material poverty to access advice and support
  • More than 57,000 refugees and asylum seekers supported with vital services including accommodation, specialist support and essential supplies
  • More than 2,900 people who have experience or are at risk of domestic abuse to access safe accommodation and specialist services

And in 2021 alone, Comic Relief funds have helped to redistribute over 1 million meals, that would otherwise have gone to waste, to people in the UK who need them most.

Schools, businesses, families and friends across the Lincoln area continue to get involved each year by donning their red noses and trying to raise as much money as possible. From fun runs and bake sales, non-uniform days and danceathons, to hair dying and bathtubs full of beans – we come together to laugh out loud and raise money for those in need, in hopes of a better future.
